Video is becoming more a part of our lives every day. We see it everywhere: social media, Netflix, movies, advertisements. The video industry is growing and the demand for these skills is at an all-time high. In this class, we will create music videos, vlogs, short stories, documentaries, and more. This course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills related to the video production industry. This includes instruction and hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio systems, lighting systems, pre-production, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, and copyright laws.
Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Students in this class will have the opportunity to be on the sidelines and in the pressbox covering live sports for Deseret News and KSL. They will also contribute to BearCast, our bi-weekly show covering everything at Summit Academy. In this class, we will build a portfolio that is intended to help you get entry level jobs in the video industry. In this class we will expand your knowledge with an additional emphasis on advanced techniques in cinematography, audio production, post-production, and storytelling.
