What is STEM education?

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines—science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to learning that provides hands on and relevant learning experiences for students.

A quality STEM education makes a difference—not only to the students it prepares but to the economy on a domestic and global scale. STEM disciplines foster curiosity and creativity while providing higher salaries and creating high-demand careers.
