Welcome to morning announcements! This course is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills related to the television broadcasting industry. This class is responsible for creating the daily morning announcements for Summit Academy. You will have the opportunity to be in front of the camera, on a studio set, or behind the mic asking important questions as a reporter. This includes instruction and hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio systems, lighting systems, preproduction, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, and copyright laws.

Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Students in this class will have the opportunity to be on the sidelines and in the pressbox covering live sports for Deseret News and KSL. They will also contribute to BearCast, our bi-weekly show covering everything at Summit Academy. This course is designed to provide students with the advanced knowledge and skills related to the television broadcasting industry. This includes instruction and hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio systems, lighting systems, pre-production, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, and copyright laws.
