Biography

My name is Scott Pettit. I serve as the Director of Safety and Transportation for all Summit Academy schools. I’ve been with Summit Academy for 10 years and love it here. I've spent the majority of my time working at our high school campus as a teacher, debate coach, and administrator. I am happy to ensuring that all students and staff at Summit Academy have a safe and positive learning experience.

I hold a B.S. in Emergency Administration and Planning from the University of North Texas. I have also have a MAT from Westminster College and a MEdL from Western Governors University. Before getting into education, I had a professional career in corporate safety and security in the logistics industry.

I love spending time with my amazing wife and son. Together we enjoy traveling around the world and visiting as many new places as we can. I also love learning about the history of places, especially the Salt Lake area.
