Diana Brantley

Principal
Bluffdale Campus

It’s an amazing honor to be the Principal of Summit Academy Bluffdale.  We have a wonderful community of staff, parents and students.  It is my life’s work and passion to ensure a happy childhood where joy in achievement is found for each little soul who crosses my path.

I know that children learn best when they are engaged in the joy of learning. Children gain self-confidence as they work hard and find success because of their efforts.  The world becomes a safer place for children as they discover that they are capable of learning and growing.  Summit Academy’s emphasis on the individual child, as well as our commitment to attracting and retaining master teachers ensures that our students will not only have academic success but will ultimately find their place in the world and establish a life-long love of learning.

Before coming to Summit Academy, I taught preschool and kindergarten in the private sector.  I began my career at Summit Academy the first year that it opened in 2004.  As a member of the Founding Advisory Council and a 1st grade teacher, I worked diligently to establish the high expectations that Summit is now famous for.  In 2014, I helped to open the Independence campus as the assistant principal and had the opportunity of starting the German Immersion program there.  I have been thrilled to be the principal of Summit Academy Bluffdale since 2018.

On a personal note, I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in elementary education.  I am married and have 8 adult children and 5  remarkable grand-children.  My husband and I volunteered as emergency foster parents and were blessed to adopt 3 of our children.  Raising a multi-cultural family has taught me to not only appreciate individual differences but to build strength in diversity. In my down time I can be found spending time with my family, enjoying my garden or reading in my beloved reading chair.
